A Graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata, in Political Science, Dr. Anindya J. Majumdar holds Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi where he specialized in Disarmament Studies. He teaches and supervises research studies in Jadavpur University, Kolkata as a Reader in International Relations. He had been a Research Consultant with the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations, New Delhi. He visited University of South Carolina, USA, as a Fulbright Fellow (2003) and attended various other international schedules including Regional Defence and Cooperative Security workshops in Shanghai (1998) and Colombo (1999).

Apart from writing in journals and contributing to various compendiums, he has authored a book, Lethal Games (Lancer’s Books, New Delhi, 2004) on India-Pakistan nuclear relations; edited Nuclear India into the New Millennium (Lancer’s, 2000) – a collection of papers on India’s nuclear policy and its impact; and co-edited The Elsewhere People (Lancer’s, 2003) on refugees, forced migration and displacement; and Understanding Global Politics (Lancer’s, 2004) – a collection of papers on issues and trends in international politics.

His recent venture is a co-edited book, Antarjatik Samparker Ruprekha (Setu, Kolkata, 2007) that collects articles in Bengali language and provides an outline of international relations for the students at the Undergraduate level in colleges and universities of West Bengal.
