Ms. Sayantani Sen is working on issues pertaining
to Global Political Economy,
Track Two Diplomacy and
CBMs. She is also the Academic Coordinator
of the Foundation. She won a competition organised by Delhi
Policy Group and the European Union to attend workshops on
‘Durable Peace Building’ in Paris, Dublin and
Belfast in 2006. Ms. Sen has a B.A in Political Science from
Presidency College, Calcutta and an M .Phil in International
Relations from Jadavpur University. She is currently pursuing
her Doctoral degree from the Department of International Relations,
Jadavpur University.
Ms. Sayantani
Sen Mazumdar
is working on India’s
Look-East Policy in the Foundation. Ms.
Mazumdar has a B.A in Political Science (Hons.) from Calcutta
University and a Masters Degree in International Relations
from Jadavpur University. She is presently pursuing her Ph.
D under the RTA Scheme of the IGNOU
Dr.
Lopamudra Bandyopadhyay has
a
B.A. degree in Political Science from Presidency College,
Kolkata, and an M.A. and Ph.D in International Relations from
Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Her doctoral thesis is on "The
Emerging Catastrophic Terrorism: Goals, Methods and Countermeasures".
She is presently working on programmes focusing on Terrorism
, Cyber Security and Bhutan.
Ms.
Cauvery Ganapathy is working on programmes related
to Energy Security and Nuclear
Proliferation . She is also the Programme
and Outreach Co-ordinator of the Foundation. She has a Bachelors
degree in Political Science from St. Xaviers College, has
completed her Masters Degree in International Relations from
Jadavpur University and is currently pursuing her Doctoral
work on ‘Energy Security: India’s Foreign Policy
Options’, from Jadavpur University. She has worked with
the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore, on
the ‘Nuclear Industry in India’.
Ms.
Amrita Chowdhury’s
work in the Foundation focusses primarily on Global
Commons. Ms. Chowdhury has a B.A in Political
Science (Hons.) from Lady Brabourne College and has completed
her Masters Degree in International Relations from Jadavpur
University.
Mr.
Anurag Sinha focusses on India’s
foreign policy and diplomatic relations in
his work at the Foundation. His interests in Political Science
range from political and international relations theory to
political economy and foreign and public policy. He has a
Masters in Political Theory from the London School of Economics
and Politcal Science.
Ms. Sreya Maitra Roychoudhury is an Honorary
Fellow. Her work in the Foundation focuses on Africa
as a region in the wider arena of International Relations.
Ms. Maitra has completed her Bachelors in Political Science
and Masters in International Relations from Jadavpur University,
Kolkata. She was awarded the Sasakawa Young Leaders’
Fellowship (SYLFF) by the Nippon Foundation, Tokyo in 2007.
She is currently a Junior Research Fellow (University Grants
Commission) at the Department of International Relations,
Jadavpur University.
Mr.
Ninad Shankar Nag is presently pursuing his Ph.D.
from the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal
Nehru University, New Delhi.He is a Political Science Graduate
from the University of Delhi. He has earned his Masters Degree
and M.Phil from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal
Nehru University. He has presented a paper on “Human
Rights and International Criminal Court: A Developing country’s
perspective” in the ETHICS Seminar, held in Beijing
in September 2006. His areas of interests are International
Organizations and Human Rights.
Dr.
Madhavi Bhasin
graduated in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
She earned her Doctoral degree from the Department of International
Relations, Jadavpur University, with a specialization on South
Asian regional affairs. Ms. Bhasin is currently based in California,
U.S and working on India’s
public diplomacy campaign.
Ms.
Shreya Ghosh is presently working on a project titled
Identity constructions through
textual representations: a study of textual narratives in
Bangladesh school textbooks. Also she
is coordinating a project titled-'Education
and Development in Northeast India: A Human Security Perspective'
at the Foundation. She has completed her Bachelors in Arts
in Political Science, and Masters in Arts in International
Relations from the Department of International Relations,
Jadavpur University.
Ms.
Ziba Mirza is working on Public
Health Care and HIV/AIDS. She is primarily
focusing on a comparative analysis of public health care programs,
policy initiatives, statistics and infrastructure between
major cities in India. She has an MBA in HR and has worked
for private sector companies in the human resource function
for five years prior to joining the foundation. She has a
Masters in Development Studies from London School of Economics
and Political Science.
Ms.
Anindita Sarker (Das) works in the capacity of a
Research Assistant at Global India Foundation. Her research
focuses on Bangladesh.
She has a Masters degree from the Department of International
Relations, Jadavpur University and also had the experience
of working as an HR Consultant, prior to her association with
the Foundation.
Dr.
Satyanarayan Pattanayak’s work at the Foundation
focuses on West Asia, with
reference to the dynamics of Iranian politics and the affairs
of the Persian Gulf region. Dr Pattanayak
has completed his M Phil and Ph.D from the School of International
Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, on West Asian
Studies. Prior to his association with the Foundation, Dr
Pattanayak has served in various capacities of research at
the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), the
National Maritime Foundation (NMF) and at the United Service
Institution of India (USI). Dr. Pattanayak also has several
academic publications to his credit.
Ms. Sylvia Mishra
focuses on Iranain studies
and International Law and Humanitarian Affairs.
She is presently working on the execution of the publication
International Affairs Watch modeled along the lines of a country
report tentatively to be published end March.
