| INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Global  India Foundation (GIF) is offering full and part-time internships for graduate  and post graduate students who are interested in acquiring practical experience  in public policy and international affairs. Interns are required to participate  in research, writing and project assistance. Internships are offered for a  period ranging from 4-8 weeks. However, the tenure is flexible and shall depend  on the project an intern is associated with. Eligibility for Internship:   Knowledge of English Language is       mandatory,
  Good standing in college and/or       university level,
  Should possess decent computer skills       (familiarity with MS Word, MS office, the Internet etc.).

   PAST INTERNS  Ms. Anindita Basu  worked as a Research Assistant with Global India Foundation. She earned her B.A. degree in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University. In addition to interning with The Telegraph and Times of India as a journalist she has also worked with ABP Ananda as a Marketing Intern, prior to joining the Foundation. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Comparative Literature from Jadavpur University.
 
  Ms. Laharee Chatterjee worked as a Research Assistant with Global India Foundation. She has completed her BA in Political Science and International Relations from Jadavpur University and completed her Postgraduation in Broadcast Journalism from Asian College of Journalism, Chennai. She has, previously, worked with The New Indian Express and the Bengal Post as part of the Editorial team prior to joining the Foundation. She is currently pursuing her Masters in International Security at the University of Sussex.
 
  Ms. Angana Chattopadhyay is  pursuing her post graduation in Political Science with International Relations  from the Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.  She completed her undergraduate studies from the same institution. She is also  employed with Alliance Française du Bengale as a French Language Teacher. At  the Foundation, she is working on a project entitled Oral History Documentation  in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
 
  Ms.  Anusua Chowdhury has completed her post graduation in Modern History from Presidency University,  Kolkata. She is also an associate author and member of Grin Verlag, Munich, Germany.  At the Foundation she is working on a project entitled Gaza-Israel War: Middle East Jumps  into a Cauldron of Violence.
 
  Mr.Saptarshi 
            Majumdar worked in the capacity of Research Assistant 
            at the Global India Foundation, between March 2011-May2011. 
            He worked on 'India-Russia Bilateral Ties' 
            and 'India's Engagement with Central Asia'.
 
  Ms. 
            Payel Sen, student of International Relations, Jadavpur 
            University interned with the Foundation from December 2009 
            to January 2010. During the course of her internship, she 
            worked on the foreign policy aspects that sculpt the bilateral 
            relations between Iran and India and presented a paper on ‘Iran’s Foreign Policy vis-a`-vis Indian 
              Foreign Policy’.
 
  Ms. Priyanka Jain, student of Economics and 
            Law from Singapore Management University, Singapore, interned 
            with Global India Foundation from June, 2007 to July, 2007. 
            During the course of her internship, she worked on ‘India 
              and Singapore: Opportunities and Partners’ focussing on the possible trade and diplomatic ties between 
            the two countries, and presented a paper on the same.
 
  Ms. Mihika Tewari, from McGill University, 
            Canada, interned with Global India Foundation from May, 2007 
            to July, 2007. During the course of her internship, she worked 
            on ‘The Dynamics of Sino-Indian Bilateral Relations,’ 
        and presented a paper on the same.
